Children will be writing poetry based on an imagined experience (being an astronaut entering space). Please watch the video link below to help with this. When children write their poem, they can choose which style of poetry they would like to use. It can be a rhyming couplets poem, an alternate line rhyme poem, a Haiku (we'd like 3 seperate ones if you choose this style) or a Kennings.  Please focus on including the thoughts, moods and feelings an astronaut might be feeling by choosing words and phrases carefully.  When you have finished writing your poem, read it aloud to your family and think about intonation, tone and volume.
