Today, we are learning all about the uses of Rivers. Look at the power point which introduces the uses for Rivers.

Your first task is to go through the groups of people that use the river and use technology appropriately to investigate and research how each of these groups use the river.

For example, fishermen use rivers to catch fish.

Then, think about how this has a positive effect on the river and surrounding area... fishermen help keep the fish populations under control. Now think about the negative effects... fishermen may over-fish species of fish or they might leave litter and disturb the wildlife. Use technology appropraitely to research the answers to the questions on the review sheet.
